Having been left bereft of his iconic Aston Martin at the end of the 2012 Bond film Skyfall, James Bond is set to take to the road in a Fiat 500 in the 2015 instalment of the successful franchise, ‘Spectre’.
It is currently known that the Fiat 500 will take part in a high-speed chase sequence, which the Bond films are known to make spectacular. This sequence will take place on the way to the Vatican in Italy, as has been reported by the Italian media.
The Fiat 500 is available in five different trim levels – the Pop, Cult, Colour Therapy, Lounge and S models – and features a wide range of innovative features in a compact and agile city vehicle. Technology includes the on-board Blue&Me TomTom satellite navigation system, as well as Start&Stop functionality in order to reduce fuel consumption.
It includes a comprehensive suite of seven airbags, being the only car in the size class to offer that number. Overall, the Fiat 500 has been given a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating – enough to give domestic motorists peace of mind on the road, but will it be enough to protect James Bond during his thrilling escapades? The 24th James Bond film is scheduled to arrive in the UK during October 2015.
